I have been very fortunate and traveled from a young age with my family which ignited my passion for exploration. However, it was during a career break that I decided to embark on my first solo adventure. I packed my rucksack and left on a 15-month adventure around the world with Southeast Asia being the finale. Vietnam and Cambodia especially resonated with me because of their architectural, historical and gastronomical variety. I was blown away by how genuine and welcoming the people were.
I learned a lot about who I want to be from them and it was when I returned home I decided to make a career and life change, so I moved from Italy to London to join Audley to help others feel those same 'travel butterflies' in their stomachs. The world is such a colorful place, full of exploration opportunities and I want a career where I can now share this passion for Southeast Asia with others.

Q&A with Christian
What’s the best local dish you’ve tasted?
A real must when in Vietnam is sampling Hoi An’s typical Cao Lâo brown noodles, made by three families in the area. While the ingredients are common knowledge across Vietnam, it's in Hoi An where you can experience the authentic dish by one of these families.
What’s your most vivid travel moment?
Whilst in Caye Caulker (Belize) I set out at sunrise on a very small fishing boat. We sailed a few kilometers out into the ocean to snorkel in the world’s second longest coral barrier, the Mesoamerican Reef. We were the only ones there until we went underwater and were surrounded by moray eels, stingrays, barracudas, thousands of colorful fish and even a group of sharks. There were so many colors thanks to the dazzling tropical sun. I never felt so alive and so far from civilization.
Your best piece of travel advice?
My best friend is ill right now but as soon as he recovers I promised him we will embark on a road trip across India for our first time together. We would love to take part to some typical celebrations, as I’ve heard people there are very involving. Also, Indian is definitely one of our favorite cuisines. Hopefully this day will come soon.
