Miramar Hotel by Windsor

Miramar Hotel by Windsor

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Occupying a prime spot on the world-famous Copacabana beachfront, the Miramar's rooms are light and spacious and have been fully updated with modern decor along with all the amenities you'd expect of a five-star hotel. Wonderful views out to the beach and the sea beyond can be enjoyed from many of the rooms and suites.

In a city where service can be a little hit and miss, the Miramar is a welcome exception — staff are very attentive and friendly, and everything is designed for you to have an exceptionally comfortable stay.

OUR OPINION:

The Miramar is one of the most attractive looking hotels along the Copacabana beachfront. Inside, it has set itself high service standards and a friendly atmosphere. Combined with its excellent location, the hotel is one of the best options in this category.

Rooms

The hotel has six different room categories. We don't usually recommend the Standard rooms, which are particularly small and inward facing, but the rest are all spacious and modern, offering stylish decoration and a host of amenities such as Wi-Fi access and TVs. The Superior rooms are a great entry level room, offering a view over the city but with glimpses of the beach. If you prefer to enjoy full views of Copacabana, room categories above Superior (Superior Executive, Deluxe, Executive Suite and Master Suite) have wonderful ocean views, along with more living space.

Location

Located at one end of Copacabana Beach, you are right in the heart of Rio, surrounded by the bustle of the numerous restaurants and cafés. Walking along Copacabana is one of the highlights of a stay in the city, and a short walk in the other direction takes you to the chic beach neighbourhoods of Ipanema and Leblon.

Food and drink

The hotel's Sa Restaurant receives consistently positive reviews from returning guests. Breakfast is included, and is an extensive buffet option. Evening meals are a mixture of European and Brazilian cuisine, all served in the stylish setting of the restaurant. Up on the roof terrace you'll find a poolside bar serving a variety of beverages that can be enjoyed alongside stunning views, offering a real retreat at the end of the day.

Families

Interconnecting family rooms are available in some categories, and some rooms offer the option to add a bed. Please ask your specialist if you need more information on these options.

Facilities and activities

Boasting perhaps one of the best views in the city, the hotel's infinity pool situated on the roof terrace is a great place to relax. The hotel also has a fitness room and a butler service for each floor.
