Hotel Captain Cook

Hotel Captain Cook

Anchorage, The USA

The Hotel Captain Cook is one of Anchorage's most comfortable hotels, situated in the bustling heart of the city. It is a convenient base camp for Alaskan adventures and offers the best in retail, cultural and natural highlights.

Guests can view the hotel’s private art collection, which includes stained glass, paintings, and sculptures related to the voyages of British naval officer Captain James Cook.

The ground floor has a foyer containing relics related to Captain Cook, a number of lounges and gift shops. The Crow's Nest restaurant, located on the top floor of the building, is one of the finest restaurants in the city and also boasts some of the best views. The hotel also offers an English pub, an Italian restaurant and a coffee shop.

OUR OPINION:

This is one of Alaska's finest hotels and boasts one of Anchorage's best restaurants. It is large, however, and the slightly dated rooms will not be to everyone's taste, though the excellent downtown location with views in all directions make up for this.
