Itinerary idea in detail

Ask us if you would also like us to arrange your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • Arrive in Lusaka and connect onto a light aircraft flight to Mfuwe. Upon arrival in Mfuwe, transfer to Flatdogs Camp, just a short drive away. Spend the evening relaxing by the river.

  • A day of game-viewing activities from Flatdogs. This usually includes drives in the early morning and late afternoon, where sundowners are followed by a night expedition searching for leopards and other nocturnal wildlife.

  • This is a full day to enjoy game viewing in South Luangwa. You could enjoy a walking safari this morning before returning to camp for lunch and another afternoon safari.

  • You'll return to the airport for two short flights to the Lower Zambezi National Park via Lusaka. A guide will meet you at the airstrip and take you back to camp by way of a game drive, stopping to see animals along the way.

  • A full day to enjoy the fabulous game viewing on offer at Chongwe River Camp. The focus here is on water-based activities and some great game viewing on boat safaris. You are also likely to go on an evening game drive each day.

  • A day of game viewing and other activities around Chongwe River Camp. The camp's canoe safaris are an excellent way to view the wildlife around the river as you silently paddle past the banks. You can also explore the area on game drives and walks.

  • For your final day of safari activities in Zambia you might want to try tiger fishing in the river. The Zambezi tigerfish can grow to up to 12 kg, and there are also plentiful bream and chessa to catch if the big one eludes you. Alternatively, enjoy more safari activities.

  • You will leave camp today and fly back to Lusaka and onto Livingstone, where you will be met and transferred across the border to Ilala Lodge in Zimbabwe, where you will stay for the next two nights.

  • Today, you can explore Victoria Falls. If you wish to take a helicopter ride or microlight flight, this can be arranged for you. Alternatively, you might like to explore the town and visit the falls on foot.

  • After breakfast, you will be driven to Victoria Falls Airport to meet your onward flights.
