Itinerary idea in detail

Private customized tour. Ask us about booking your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • Arrive in ´Üü°ù¾±³¦³ó to be met by a driver for a private transfer to your hotel in the old town. Once you've settled into your hotel, meet your guide for a private walking tour of the city. Highlights may include the tower of Fraumünster and the enormous clock face of Saint Peter's church. Finish up at Lindenhof Hill for views down across the old town.

  • Take a one-hour train journey from ´Üü°ù¾±³¦³ó to Neuhausen. Here, you can spend the morning at Europe's largest waterfall, the Rhine Falls, viewing it from a raised platform or from below on a boat trip. Head back to ´Üü°ù¾±³¦³ó for an afternoon cruise around the lake, hopping on and off the boat to visit sights like the Lindt & Sprüngli chocolate factory.

  • Board a train for a short journey through the countryside to arrive in Lucerne. This afternoon, indulge in a gourmet chocolate tasting, then board a sunset boat cruise to explore Lake Lucerne, passing sights such as the former home of composer Richard Wagner.

  • Spend a full day visiting Pilatus Kulm, ride the steepest cogwheel train in the world to reach the summit, and then meander along a multitude of trails to enjoy far-reaching views. Descend by funicular to return to Lucerne.

  • Enjoy a full day at leisure. Lucerne is a small town that's easy to navigate on foot. You may wish to visit the Glacier Garden and Lion Monument before strolling the length of the 13th-century Musegg Wall, part of the town's original fortifications.

  • Today, you'll take the GoldenPass Panoramic train from Lucerne to Interlaken in the heart of Bernese Oberland. Change trains here and continue the short distance to the quintessential Alpine village of Grindelwald, dwarfed by the imposing face of the Eiger.

  • Venture to the Top of Europe today. The Jungfraujoch is an icy saddle between two Alpine peaks and home to the continent's highest train station. Take the railway up with a stop to see the Ischmeer glacier on the way, before continuing up to the observation deck. You can also explore below the ice through a network of tunnels and caves dotted with sculptures.

  • Enjoy a day at leisure in Grindelwald. You can head out to explore the other tiny villages of Wengen and Mürren or take the funicular up from Grindelwald to enjoy some mountain air on a moderate hiking trail to Bachalpsee.

  • This morning, board another scenic train heading north to the Swiss capital of Bern. Your private guide will meet you for an afternoon walking tour of the city, including a behind-the-scenes peek inside the still-working 13th-century clock tower.

  • Today is a chance to sample the renowned (and holey) Swiss cheese. A private driver will take you out to the Emmental Valley for a tour of a show dairy. You'll journey through the ages of cheese-making, tasting different maturities of cheese along the way. Afterwards, you can also turn your hand to making your own version of soft cheese.

  • Journey by train to Basel for your flight home.
