Swimming with Dolphins

This four-hour trip departs from Paihia and Russell in the morning or afternoon on a jet-powered catamaran from which you will meet one of nature's most charming creatures in the warm waters of the Bay of Islands.

There are plenty of opportunities to get up close to the dolphins for photographs and, sea conditions permitting, to go swimming with them if you like. For many people the experience of swimming with dolphins is a highlight of the vacation. You should also keep your eyes peeled for orcas, whales, seals and an abundance of birdlife before stopping off on the beautiful Urupukapuka Island.

If you are taking the morning trip you have the option of staying for the rest of the day on the island enjoying the scenic walks and magnificent beaches before heading back across the bay to Paihia.
