Best of the Right Bank: Arc de Triomphe to the Marais

A fast-paced overview of the best Paris has to offer, this half-day tour of the Right Bank is designed to introduce you to the city’s history and geography as well as its most renowned attractions.

The Right Bank of Paris, north of the Seine River, encompasses everything from the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower in the west, to Montmartre and the Sacré-Coeur Basilica in the north, and the Marais district in the east. With your private driver and guide, you’ll tour the best of the Right Bank, stopping en route to explore some of the most impressive sites on foot.

Your driver and guide pick you up from your hotel to begin your introduction to the city. This tour is a great way to get your bearings in Paris or to see a host of sights in a short time. The exact order of the tour may vary, depending on where you’re staying, but will take in all of the locations mentioned below.

Driving past the symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower, your guide introduces you to the history of the city and points out some of its most significant sights such as the Arc de Triomphe, which is located at the top of the Champs-Élysées.

Next, head for the Louvre, one of the world's largest museums. Nearby is the fashionable Place Vendôme, which you pass through before stopping at Notre-Dame Cathedral where you can stretch your legs and see the remarkable Gothic façade and Seine waterfront up close.

Drive north to Montmartre and take a quick stroll in the artist-filled Place du Tertre. You can pause for a moment in front of the Sacré-Coeur Basilica to enjoy the commanding views over the entire city.

Finally, you travel east to the stylish Marais district to take a spin around the elegant Place des Vosges, which is lined with boutiques, restaurants and art galleries.

At the end of your tour your guide will bring you back to your hotel. If you’d like extra time to visit the attractions that you see on this tour, we recommend speaking to your specialist in advance.
