The Waterfront Hotel has a more modern feel compared to smaller more boutique hotels in the area, however they've made it their mission to promote local artists and supports them by displaying their art throughout the public areas of the hotel. The spacious guest rooms offer aerial views of the city, featuring contemporary decor, with a host of facilities, including an outdoor pool, while having easy access to shopping and the riverfront.

Situated in the heart of Kuching, the Waterfront Hotel overlooks the Padang Merdeka and the Sarawak River, while being within walking distance to popular sites of the city, including the Sarawak Museum, Fort Margherita, and the Old State House.

Food and drink

The hotel's restaurant, Cafe via Mare, offers sweeping views of the Sarawak River, and styled with contemporary and bright decor. Start your day with a wide breakfast buffet selection to fuel your day of activity, as well as unwinding for dinner, with a variety of traditional Malaysian dishes and international options to suit your tastebuds.

Facilities and activities

As far as facilities go, the infinity pool on the 4th floor is a highlight, where you can also find the Kilig Bar and Cafe via Mare Restaurant, which all provide great views across the city, as well as a gym and a sauna. You can also find a small art exhibition on show near the bar area, in support of the hotel's initiative to nurture local talent and artists. In addition, having a shopping complex next door is also handy for any last minute purchases.
