DO&CO

Vienna, Austria

The ultra-modern DO & CO hotel sits in stark contrast with its surroundings, situated opposite the towering Gothic Saint Stephen’s cathedral. Fashionable and romantic, the hotel is centrally located in Stephansplatz, with views of the cathedral and easy access to high-end shopping.

The top floor of the building is the DO & CO restaurant, which features an eclectic menu ranging from sashimi to traditional Viennese dishes. On the sixth floor, you’ll find a stylish palm tree-accented lounge with vaulted windows that showcase views of the cathedral and square below.

Guests can enjoy à la carte breakfast on the top floor every morning before stepping into the bustling square right outside the door.

OUR OPINION:

We love the DO & CO hotel for its chic interior furnishings and superior location in Stephansplatz. The top floor restaurant and popular bar/lounge make this a very popular spot for locals and visitors alike.

Rooms

The DO & CO has 43 rooms in total, all of which are glamorously furnished, featuring teak wood flooring and Turkish leather accents. The Courtyard rooms overlook the building’s courtyard, while the Cityview room looks onto the Graben — one of Vienna’s most visited streets.

The Deluxe suite boasts cathedral views, and can be extended by connecting to two Cityview rooms. The Dome suite has two large terraces, offering up close views of Saint Stephen’s Cathedral. Both suites have hot tubs.

All rooms include an en suite bathroom, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. One consideration is that the showers are glass and exposed to the rest of the room, though they do have a wooden privacy shade.

Location

Located across from Saint Stephen’s Cathedral and within Stephansplatz, the DO & CO Hotel is centrally located whether you’re looking for shopping, history or good food. Due to its location at the top of a high-end shopping street and near many restaurants, the area gets quite busy. There are many visitors and groups in the area, in addition to the normal pedestrian through-traffic.

Food and drink

  • À la carte breakfast is served daily in the top floor restaurant.
  • The DO & CO Stephansplatz Restaurant offers a menu that highlights Asian cuisine, such as sushi and sashimi, as well as Viennese classics.
  • Onyx bar and lounge is open until 2am, offering coffee and an extensive drink menu, with large vaulted windows for cathedral views.

Families

  • The Deluxe suite can be enlarged to include two Cityview rooms, making it ideal for families who need more space.
