Hotel Bellerive

Zermatt, Switzerland

Sleekly modern yet warm with rustic Alpine touches, Hotel Bellerive is a chic hideaway centrally located in Zermatt. With its chalet-style structure, central lobby fireplace and relaxed atmosphere, this boutique hotel presents a family-run feeling in a stylish space.

The hotel is located within a ten-minute walk to all the main sights, including the Glacier Paradise Cable Cars and the Sunnegga Express. It also operates a convenient electric shuttle to the train station, an important touch since Zermatt is a car-free resort.

Each of the 25 rooms and suites is individually designed to give a feeling of comfort, with contemporary furnishings in soft neutral tones, fuzzy blankets and rustic wood accents. The south-facing rooms boast views of the Matterhorn through their large windows or from balconies.

While Hotel Bellerive does not have a full restaurant, it does serve an excellent buffet breakfast featuring local meats, cheeses and pastries. The hotel also sets out sandwiches for picnic lunches, should you wish to take some on the go to your mountain adventures.

There is also a small spa with a sauna, Jacuzzi and massage available.

OUR OPINION:

We love Bellerive for its convenient location, friendly atmosphere and stylish interiors. The hotel’s extra touches, like complimentary fresh fruit, set it apart.
