Your tour will begin with a boat transfer to the town of San Pedro from where a pick-up truck will take you to the San Pedro visitor centre to begin your hike.
You will hike to the top of the volcano (almost 3,000 metres above sea level), climbing through patchwork fields and beautiful cloudforest. The climb to the top聽should take approximately聽three聽to聽four hours.
On a clear day, which can never be guaranteed, you will enjoy magnificent views over Lake Atitl谩n聽to聽the distant聽mountains and volcanoes whilst聽having lunch.聽In the聽afternoon, you will聽descend back down the volcano聽for your return transfer to your hotel.
This is a challenging hike and a good level of fitness is required along with comfortable walking shoes, waterproofs and聽sunscreen.
