Champagne by e-bike

Your nine-hour tour also includes a Champagne lunch at a restaurant in nearby Épernay, as well as a further tasting at another local Champagne house.

Throughout the day, you’ll be accompanied by a local guide who can tell you more about the region, its history and its role in Champagne making.

Your day begins as your private driver-guide picks you up from your hotel. They’ll take you to Le Clos Corbier, a grand, ivy-covered hotel surrounded by vine-braided countryside, where you can pick up your e-bike.

From here, you’ll cycle out into the countryside, pedalling as much or as little as you like as you pass through vineyards. You’ll eventually arrive at the hilltop village of Hautvillers, whose narrow, winding streets are lined with traditional houses and boutique shops. The abbey here is located on the burial site of Dom Pérignon, an 18th-century monk who pioneered the technique for producing Champagne.

As well as time to explore this historic village, you’ll stop by a Champagne house here for a tasting of three different Champagne varieties. Your guide will give you an in-depth insight into how the world-renowned beverage is made, from vine to bottle, and how it came to be so popular internationally.

You’ll then ride back to Le Clos Corbier, following a different route, to drop off your bike, before heading to the town of Épernay for a Champagne lunch at a local restaurant.

Afterwards, your driver-guide will bring you to another prestigious Champagne house (which will be decided closer to the time depending on availability) for one last tasting. You’ll then be brought back to your hotel.
