Fairmont Peace Hotel

Fairmont Peace Hotel

Shanghai, China

Located on the famous Bund, the Fairmont Peace Hotel is an Art Deco masterpiece that combines timeless elegance with modern facilities. The landmark hotel is perfectly situated for an exploration and appreciation of Shanghai’s best sights.

One of the oldest hotels in the city, its furnishings recreate the ambience of the 1930s, when it served as a glamorous playground for the elite, where every night was an extravagant gala event and veritable Parisian fashion show. Mezzanine lounges and an octogenarian jazz band all add to the very special atmosphere.

Guest rooms and suites are lofty and luxuriously comfortable with the air of a bygone era and a hint of slightly faded grandeur. The eighth-floor restaurant has superb views of the Bund, as does the breakfast restaurant on the second floor from which you can watch the boats on Huangpu River sail by.

OUR OPINION:

The ambience and location really do make this a very special place to stay.
