Lantern Hill and Hollow

Lantern Hill and Hollow

Ingonish, Canada

Just steps from the Atlantic Ocean, Lantern Hill and Hollow sits on a large, private, beachfront plot. It consists of landscaped grounds with manicured lawns and a welcoming guesthouse perched on the hilltop. The house looks over a cluster of beach cottages nestled in the hollow below, and is just a stone鈥檚 throw from a stretch of wide, sandy beach.聽

Rooms in the main house and the stand-alone guest cottages are decorated in a stylish, contemporary manner with hardwood floors, pale woods and grey walls. The spacious cottages have a full kitchen and living area as well as a large bathroom and a veranda balcony with a propane barbecue.聽

Although there is no restaurant on site, and breakfast is not served, all rooms have a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. There's a grocery store nearby and plenty of local caf茅s and restaurants along the Cabot Trail which passes through the village.聽

The village sits on the edge of the Cape Breton National Park with its hiking, wildlife watching and canoeing opportunities, while whale watching and sea kayaking are also available nearby.

OUR OPINION:
