Mount Cockburn Safari — 2 Days

The Mount Cockburn Safari is an experience where attention to detail, service and catering is second to none. An El Questro Ranger is the host on this fascinating overnight safari, starting at the King River Road, an old station track linked to the Karunjie Track. Together, you can circumnavigate the entire Cockburn Range.

During the first day of the safari, you venture into the north of El Questro's million acres, an area of unbounded beauty. After a delicious gourmet lunch on the El Questro mud flats, you can explore the vast grass plains, resembling the terrain of the Serengeti or the Masai Mara.

The overnight accommodation is comfortable, yet simple. Lodging is provided in an airy "Goondi", complete with private en suite, surrounding a central dining, living and entertainment area.

The return journey to the El Questro Valley follows the Pentecost River south along the Karunjie Track, a secluded stock route rarely travelled.

Experience the best of El Questro and the magnificent Cockburn Ranges on this unique small group trip.
