Rooms

There are three room types available, ranging from Standard rooms set in the gardens and Deluxe rooms looking out across the desert landscape, to Deluxe Rock View rooms with wonderful views of Uluru and the surrounding red desert. All have a balcony or patio area, reverse-cycle air conditioning, tea/coffee making facilities, a minibar and free Wi-Fi. The Standard rooms come with two double beds or a queen sized bed, while the other two categories offer two double beds or a king sized bed.

Location

The property is situated in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, in Australia's Northern Territory — the heart of the Red Centre. Food and drink

There are three dining options available at the hotel itself, plus around 15 to choose from throughout the resort. At the hotel, the White Gums Restaurant will set you up for the day with its buffet breakfast selection, while Argnuli is the hotel's premier restaurant, featuring quality Australian cuisine enriched using local herbs, spices and grains. There's also Bunya bar — a relaxed café environment for a coffee stop or light lunch.

Families

Some of the rooms here can be interconnected to accommodate families, and roll-away beds or cribs can be added for those staying with children, subject to availability.

Facilities and activities

Take a guided or self-guided tour of the hotel's substantial native gardens, or drop in at the Mingkiri gallery, which offers an opportunity to learn about or purchase some unique local artwork. Meet the artist in residence and ask the gallery staff if you’d like to take part in an art class or workshop. It’s a ten-minute walk to the resort hub at Town Square to access other facilities such as shops, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants, or take the free shuttle bus from the Desert Gardens Hotel. You should also make time for a little pampering at the Red Ochre Spa, which is the perfect end to a busy day of exploring the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

Accessibility

Wheelchair accessible rooms are available on request.
