Unique Hotel Eden

Unique Hotel Eden

St. Moritz, Switzerland

The Unique Hotel Eden is a relaxed family-run hotel with a charismatic personality that comes through in unusual touches, such as the giant chessboard on its rooftop terrace. The building is 150 years old and boasts wood features throughout, from walls to furniture to floors, giving it a true Alpine feel. It’s decorated with vintage sleighs, intricately painted by the owner’s father.

There are just 33 rooms and suites as well as a comfortable lounge with an open fire, and a sunny tea room where afternoon tea and cake is served daily.

Located on a quiet, pedestrian-only street in St. Moritz, the hotel offers minivan pick-up from the train station. The porter will bring your luggage to your room while you check in.

OUR OPINION:

We love how this hotel manages to balance its longstanding tradition with the expectations of the modern visitor. Hotel Eden offers a friendly and relaxed option in a quiet part of an otherwise bustling town.

Rooms

The 33 rooms and suites, which vary in size, all feature wooden accents throughout to give them an Alpine feel. Each room has views either over the surrounding mountains or the lake — some enjoy both. En suite bathrooms with both a bath and a shower are standard. The spacious Junior Suites also have a separate sitting area, while the Suite has a full kitchen, too. The hotel also has apartments, if you're looking for further space.

Location

The Unique Hotel Eden is located on a pedestrian-only street, so the area is free from traffic noise. It enjoys full sunshine all day, and the first-floor patio is positioned to catch the last of the day's rays. There are also luxury boutiques located just at the end of the street.

  • The hotel serves an extensive continental buffet and hot food breakfast in the dining room. There is also fresh fruit, cold meat and cheese, fresh pastries and hearty porridge available.

  • An honesty bar offers a wide selection of wines and whisky, as well as some small snacks, in the salon.

  • Some rooms can interconnect, and a large apartment can sleep up to four people.
