El Valle originates in the crater of a long extinct volcano which is thought to have been the largest in Central America. With a cool and pleasant climate, this unique valley rises 600 meters above sea level and its cool tropical forests are an ideal place for hikers for all abilities.
This excursion includes a visit to the picturesque town market followed by a hike in the hills around the valley. Enjoy a picnic lunch on any number of trails depending on your fitness such as El Gaital, La India Dormida (the sleeping Indian), Cariguana or an easier walk called Pastoreo.
