Responsible Choice
The glass lobby of the NJV Athens Plaza ushers you from the bustle of Syntagma Square into a quiet, peaceful escape. The hotel is set directly on the square and although the heart of Athens buzzes outside, its spacious reception and lounge area, decorated in neutral tones, is a welcome retreat.
This 180-room property combines modern luxury with functional amenities and plenty of space. Rooms here are more spacious compared with some other centrally located Athens hotels, and large windows and a light decorating scheme palette render them bright and airy.
The Parliament Restaurant, stylish Explorer’s Bar and more casual Plaza Café, provide you with plenty of choice for a drink or meal during your stay. The hotel’s central location gives you many more options within a short walking distance.
A chic, modern property, the NJV Athens Plaza is an excellent choice in a lively central location. We were impressed by the variety of facilities on offer, meaning you have everything at your fingertips.

Rooms
The 180 rooms are decorated in a warm ivory with blue-gray and taupe fabrics and carpets. They’re typically more spacious than rooms in other central Athens hotels, and floor-to-ceiling windows add to the sense of airiness. Rooms look out onto Stadiou or Voukourestiou Street and the square, with some upper-floor rooms offering Acropolis views.
Location
The hotel is set on lively Syntagma Square, which is considered the middle of Athens. The area offers a plethora of shopping and dining options. The top of Ermou Street, which is known for its shopping, is minutes away, and the National Garden is just on the other side of the square.
Food and drink
The Parliament Restaurant is the hotel’s formal dining option, serving a Mediterranean menu in the afternoons and evenings. It doubles up as the breakfast room for a full buffet breakfast in the mornings. The Plaza Café, off the lobby, serves more casual dishes, and a wood-panel bar evokes a vintage ambiance for an evening drink.
Facilities and activities
As a guest, you’re welcome to use the gym and spa of a nearby health club at a discounted rate which is payable locally.
