Growing up with the chance to travel extensively with my family, I developed a deep passion for exploring new cultures and places. As I got older, my grandfather’s exciting stories about his ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ inspired me to seek out my own unique experiences and appreciate all the different traditions and landscapes around the world.
A transformative study abroad experience in Viña del Mar, Chile, further solidified my desire to build a career in travel. For the past two years, I’ve worked in travel sales, helping others explore the world as I have.
One of my favorite ways to share my love for travel is by planning trips for friends and family. Travel is important to me because it fosters personal growth, broadens perspectives, and cultivates a deeper understanding of the world around us.
Q&A with Madeline
What’s your most vivid travel moment?
Though I’ve trekked through eight ecosystems in Peru, stood at the base of Torres del Paine in Patagonia, gone dog sledding through Quebec’s dense forests, and taken cooking classes in places like Spain and Italy, my most vivid travel memory is simpler. I constantly find myself thinking back to Christmas time in London. Walking through the lit-up streets, with red-cheeked faces around every corner and the crisp air that wraps you like a warm hug — those moments feel like pure magic. London has a way of creating a joy that remains uniquely unforgettable.
Where would you love to travel next?
I’d love to visit Japan. It's been a dream destination of mine for years. I'm fascinated by the culture, the blend of tradition and modernity, and, of course, the food. I hope to visit one day and fully immerse myself in everything Japan has to offer. Japan promises a journey that balances the energy of urban life with the peacefulness of natural landscapes — a combination I’d love to explore next.
Your best piece of travel advice?
I always make sure to show up prepared, whether it’s by putting Air Tags in my luggage, downloading offline maps, or checking the weather. However, the most important advice I’ve received is to stay open-minded and try things you never thought you would. Whether it’s tasting new foods, exploring unfamiliar places, or participating in unexpected activities, it creates incredible memories. Being open to new experiences is what truly makes travel unforgettable.
