El Manantial del Silencio

Situated just above the village of Purmamarca and with a picture postcard view onto the Hill of Seven Colours, the Manantial del Silencio is an unexpected oasis of comfort and tranquility in the heart of the spectacular Humahuaca Gorge. The design, both inside and out, is colonial and elegant; with long stone corridors, archways, and a predominance of white giving the whole place a fresh feel.

The hotel has just 18 standard rooms, a suite and a separate two bedroom 'Boutique House' for family groups. All rooms have Wi-Fi access, a safe, hair dryer and private bathrooms, and the suite also includes a Jacuzzi. Guests can also enjoy a comfortable and welcoming lounge area, beautifully designed restaurant with panoramic picture windows, a wine cellar, and large gardens with an outdoor swimming pool. There is also a spa with a Jacuzzi offering panoramic views and a Scottish shower.

Set off from Purmamarca, having first visited the village and enjoyed the Hill of Seven Colors from close quarters. You will pass through the oasis village of Maimara, with its onion and garlic fields and dramatic colored mountain backdrop, known as the Artist's Palette because of the range of hues visible.
